KT's
Restaurant & Bar
2300
Lexington Road
Food:
Consistently
satisfying casual fare. The dinner salads are especially notable,
including a seafood salad ($8.25), plantation (chef's) salad ($6.95)
and a new grilled chicken Caesar ($7.45). Among the entrees are fettucini
primavera ($7.25), a New York strip ($15.95), Hawaiian chicken ($8.67)
and grilled
salmon ($9.45).
Mood:
Open
and airy with exposed brick walls, tall windows and lots of brass
accents. The restaurant is divided into several rooms. There also
is a busy bar. But even when crowded, the noise seems to travel
upward, so conversation at table level isn't strained.
Value:
Prices
are right and the portions are ample. All but one of the hot sandwiches,
which make satisfying meals, are priced under $7. With the exception
of steaks and pork chops, all the dinners are under $10. Wine markup
is reasonable. Service is pleasant and timely.
